- Tyre condition, tread & pressures (including the spare), don’t always rely on automatic sensors if you have them. Tread depth & tyre requirements differ in the winter.
- Oil levels (engine, transmission, power steering)
- Washer fluid
- Coolant
- Owner’s manual
- Basic tools, jack & wrench for changing a wheel
- Snow brush & lock de-icer in the winter
- Breakdown recovery coverage phone numbers
- Ensure all snow is cleared from vehicle before setting off (no we didn’t drive off with our truck looking like this)
- Travel Kit
- Jumper cables
- Bottled water, energy bars, travel blankets etc
- Medications for anyone who needs them

- Check you have your entertainment sorted before leaving, don’t try connecting that new Bluetooth device while on the move.
